Here's a quick overview of the important details:
1. Booking Date: Set your alarms for October 14th, 9 AM Sydney Time / October 13th, 3 PM PST, as this is when booking officially opens. To secure your spot, you'll need to place a nonrefundable $200 USD deposit.
2. Payment Plan: Starting November 15th, we'll initiate an automatic monthly payment plan of $300 USD per month. This plan will span six months, allowing you to conveniently pay off the remaining $1800 USD.
3. Payment in Full: If you prefer to pay in full upfront, simply let us know, and we'll arrange that option for you.
4. Connecting Before the Trip: To foster camaraderie, we'll initiate a group chat on Instagram once all spots are filled. This way, you can get to know your fellow travelers and start building friendships before your adventure begins.
5. Detailed Itinerary: Before the trip commences, you will receive a comprehensive PDF of the final itinerary. This detailed document will provide you with a clear overview of the activities and experiences you can expect during your time in Tokyo. Remember, you'll also have ample free time to explore and book additional experiences tailored to your interests.
6. Cultural Insights: As a respectful traveler in Japan, please note that respect is highly valued. This means covering up tattoos in places like bars and clubs and dressing nicely when going out. Additionally, Tokyo's main mode of transportation is the train, where eating and talking are not permitted.
7. Flight Booking Note: Please refrain from booking flights until your booking is officially confirmed. We want to ensure that your travel plans align seamlessly with our Tokyo adventure.
8. Visa Requirements: Certain passport holders are required to obtain a Temporary Visitor Visa to enter Japan. If you are a US or Australian passport holder no visa is required to travel Japan for 90 days or less. All travelers should have an outbound ticket stating when you will be departing from Japan. Passports must be valid for a minimum of an additional 6 months after your travels are completed.
9. Refund and Cancellation Policies: Our refund policy is pretty strict. When you join us at DM Retreats, we set up everything for your trip. Unfortunately, if you decide to cancel, we can't get our time and expenses back, so refunds aren't possible. You'll be responsible for the full trip cost. To add some wiggle room, think about snagging Cancel for Any Reason insurance with Rene Care within 2 weeks of booking your trip.
10. Forms: There are two crucial documents you’ll be required to sign before the trip begins: Rules of Conduct, and Payment Agreement. These forms detail the terms for your DM Retreats booking. After your booking is finalized, these documents will be sent via email. Please sign and return them to divina@dmretreats.com within 48 hours of receipt.
